Elastic is in great shape, all snaps are in working order, used arm and hammer laundry soap, dogs in home, no smoking, bought in 2020 and used for 1 child for ~1 year, were stored in airtight container indoors, shells were always hung dry (hotdog style to protect elastic) and never put in dryer. Inserts were either hung dry or dried on low heat setting.
